About

Carl Bond is a gifted songwriter who was born and raised in Canso, Nova Scotia. Carl’s music paints vivid images of quaint fishing villages, hard-working people, close-knit families, broken hearts, and homesick souls.

He has opened for such artists as Garnet Rogers and Tim Harrison and played beside Eric Bogle, The Irish Descendents, The Fables, George Fox, JP Cormier, Archie Fisher, Lennie Gallant, and many more… He is one of few artists who performs annually at the Stan Rogers Folk Festival.

“Mr. Bond is the real thing. His songs are stories about real people, working people He’s got a huge heart, and a belly full of spirit. And it’s a big belly.”

– Mitch Podolak.
